Once your application is submitted, then starts the agonising wait to hear whether you have been selected for an interview. However, many applicants wait until they are invited for an interview to start preparing for it. This can be too late. Thinking about a potential interview long before you are invited, will help you to come across confident, thoughtful and authentic.
Medical school interviews are an essential part of the admissions process. Too many students believe if they achieve the grades, they are guaranteed to secure a place at the medical school of their choice. The reality is that almost all students applying for medicine are capable of high grades (that’s why they applied), but student attitudes, characteristics and personality is often what secures the place.
This module will guide you through the various elements of the interview and show you ways in which you need to think about them.
